Modern Athens

This is the Tower of the Winds with the Likavittos Hill in the background. The Tower of the Winds is now believed to have been a mechanical timepiece, which tracked the seasons. The Likavittos Hill is the highest point in Athens and, if you climb to its peak, provides an incredible three-hundred-and-sixty-degree panoramic view of the city, the mountains and the nearby islands.
