The more you pay for a hotel room, the better the view ... although my room only cost about sixty dollars per day, it was clean, secure and the hotel staff was as friendly and helpful as possible. I stayed at the Amaryllis Hotel (45 Veranzerou Street) two years in a row and I will stay there again on my next visit to Athens ... it’s only a few blocks from the Omonia Metro station and the variety of tourists gives it a truly international flavor.
