This is the statue of the Bronze Charioteer ... it is the pride of the museum ... I walked round and round this masterpiece in utter amazement ... the intensity of the face, the way the garments seem to be gently fluttered by the movement of the chariot ... all aspects of this statue are so realistic that this ancient man seems to come alive right there on the pedestal.
