The base of the Temple of Hephaistos is intact but the roof is open to the sky ... the modern flood-lights on the porch make the temple a notable landmark after dark ... on several occasions I ate dinner near the Thissio (thee SEE oh) subway station so I could enjoy the grandeur of the Temple with its lighted façade.
