The Duveen Gallery

The Elgin Marbles are displayed in the Duveen Gallery. The construction of the new gallery for the Parthenon sculptures was funded by Sir Joseph Duveen (later Lord Duveen) in 1931. The architect was the American, John Russell Pope, who also designed the National Gallery in Washington, D.C.
