A Greek island in the western Aigean (Aegean) Sea
Known as Ikos (Icos) in antiquity, Alonissos is one of the large islands of the Northern Sporades group; located northeast of the island of Euboea.
The other large islands of the Northern Sporades are—Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros.
