The home of Eurymedusa, slave of King Alkinous (Alcinous).
Apeire might be a reference to the costal district in Asia Minor called Apeiros. The ships of the Phaiakians (Phaeacians) sailed to Apeire and took Eurymedusa as a slave. She was obliged to serve Phaiakian King Alkinoos and his daughter, Princess Nausikaa (Nausicaa).
