A city in Boiotia (Boeotia).
During the Trojan War, the Achaian (Achaean) soldiers from Aspledon and the Minyan1 city of Orchomenos were led by Askalaphos (Ascalaphus) and Ialmenos (Ialmenus), two sons of Ares, god of war. Askalaphos and Ialmenos took thirty ships to Troy, which would have carried approximately 3,450 men.
