During the Trojan War, Menelaos (Menelaus), co-commander of the Achaian (Achaean) army, mustered soldiers from the Lakedaimon (Lacedaemon)1 cities of Augeiai, Amyklai (Amyclae), Bryseiai (Bryseiae), Helos, Laas, Messe, Oitylos (Oetylus), Pharis, and Sparta.
