A city on the island of Euboia (Euboea).
During the Trojan War Elephenor commanded the long-haired Abantes from Euboia, which included Achaian (Achaean) soldiers from Karystos (Carystus), Dion, Eretria, Histiaia (Histiaea), Kerinthos (Cerinthus), Chalkis (Chalcis), and Styra.
