Olizon

A rugged district in the domain of Philoktetes (Philoctetes).

During the Trojan War, the Achaian (Achaean) soldiers from Olizon, Meliboia (Meliboea), Methone, and Thaumakia (Thaumacia) originally were commanded by Philoktetes, but he was bitten by a snake before reaching Troy and replaced by Medon, son of Oileus.
