Pheia
Pheae

A city on the western coast of the Peloponnesian Peninsula.

A generation before the Trojan War, the armies of Pylos and Arkadia (Arcadia) faced one another by the rivers Keladon (Celadon) and Iardanos (Iardanus), in front of the city of Pheia. Nestor of Pylos fought a duel with a formidable warrior named Ereuthalion. Nestor won the fight. Ereuthalion was the tallest and strongest man Nestor ever killed.

Seeking news of his father's prolonged absence, Telemachos (Telemachus) went to Sparta to speak with Menelaos (Menelaus) and Helen. His efforts were in vain, they had no news of Odysseus. On the journey back to Ithaka (Ithaca), Telemachos sailed past Pheia and Elis.
